White Rose Princess of Wilmington College
My brothers have spoken, and this year’s White Rose Princess is Rachel W. Miss W. is president of Kappa Delta Sorority, swims for the College Varsity Team, is a member of the Water Polo Club, and earning her biology undergrad. Cheers to Miss W., the Darling of Lambda Chi.
Rachel is the beautiful braided blonde, shown here on a KD trip to cheer on the Cincinnati Reds with another good...

Soaked in Gin, Under the Sun
I love any reason to go boating, but Friday afternoons are particular favorites. G&T and I spent some quality time on the water yesterday, and it was absolute bliss. I still haven’t gotten out my sailboat, the Janie Lynn, yet, but hopefully this weekend I’ll find some time to clean her up and make her a lady once again.

Lambda Chi Alpha at Wilmington College
It has been my extreme honor to serve my ΛΧΑ brothers as High Alpha (President) during the 2011-2012 school year. I have become rather sentimental over the particulars of my office, enjoying each detail of my obligation and privilege before I step down in less than a month, and allow a new captain to take over the ship. My final weeks as an active will be a balancing act between the demands of...

Kiel James Patrick: Follow Up
Two days ago, I reblogged an article from the lovely Muffy Aldrich concerning Kiel James Patrick’s authentic and intentional product line. I showed my support by ordering a Triton Knot bracelet, having been very pleased with my last few purchases. Today it arrived by post, and I could not be more thrilled with my Lenny Mooring bracelet, and with the entire experience with KJP, from shopping...

Large Companies Copying Designs From Small... →
The smashing Mrs. Aldrich has added her voice to the issue. If you value quality, genuine lifestyle, and small business entrepreneurship over cheap imitations and exported labor, perhaps you might just pop over and show KJP some support. I just did, and soon this Lenny Mooring Triton Knot bracelet will find its way to my wrist..
Also, perhaps you’d be so kind as to recommend to Kiel...

The General Denver Hotel and Pub
The General Denver was built in 1928 and named after James William Denver, as were Denver Park, School, Hall, and a few other city treasures, as well as the city in Colorado. General Denver is probably one of my town’s more celebrated notables.
This Hotel has been a staple for locals offering great food, drinks, and entertainment throughout it’s history. My grandparents put many miles...

Fox Hunting in the Republic of Ireland
I was brimming with questions about the local hunt in County Kerry. Luckily, I was able to have a sit down with Tim Mulvihill at the Red Fox Inn to gain some insight and some great stories about the history of the Kerry Hunt Club.

Irish Hurling
Ireland is the home of Hurling, an intriguing sport that seems to combine field hockey, lacrosse, baseball, croquet, and tennis. As if that pedigree wasn’t enough, this sport still uses solid ash hurling sticks and a leather covered cork ball. Josh and I picked these supplies up at a sports store in Dublin and have been familiarizing ourselves with the mechanics of them. I stained and wrapped...

A Water Lover's Paris
Paris is undeniably beautiful, but most enchanting for a man like me were the boats, bridges, and barges on the river Seine.
Churches, Candles, and Prayers
Josh and I prayed at a few of the world’s most famous churches on our whirlwind trip through western Europe.
I took this first series in St. Patrick’s in Dublin, Ireland, where we were invited to receive communion.
Here we are outside St. Paul’s Cathedral in London. I loved these bells the most.
And finally in Notre Dame, Josh and I found secluded corners to light candles and...
